A diversion map like a plate of spaghetti

A second account of the same area as everything dug up at once, given later the same day.

Information about city-wide traffic disruptions, and walkability, is — as I said before — terrible.

There was a video I saw of a resident planning committee, which was literally a Zoom call, where somebody read out a diversion route that looked like a plate of spaghetti. And that was passed off as public information about our road diversions.

On foot

Trying to walk around the city centre is basically impossible. It is literally like trying to navigate your way between and around construction sites, with insufficient signage.

So not only is there a lack of proactive information to residents — the architecture and the processes for informing residents of disruptions, and for hearing their objections, are almost nonexistent.

There is also no compensation, which is the traders’ side of the same story: shuttered shops, and nothing offered.
